North Staffs Young Carers
Children and Young People who do a lot to help look after a family member who is sick, disabled, has mental health condition, or is misusing drugs or alcohol are Young Carers.
Most Young Carers look after one of their parents or care for a brother or sister.
Looking after someone can be rewarding and make you feel great, but it can also make you worry, feel stressed, anxious and sometimes lonely.

You may have to help the person you look after or take care or your brother and sisters, so you don't get much time for going out or being with your friends.
Being a Young Carer sometimes makes things difficult at school too. You may be missing lessons, arriving late or not handing homework in.
You don’t have to feel alone, North Staffs Carers is here to help Young Carers.
